Hello, I’m Gemma.

I live on the south coast with my husband, Andy, two cats, a handful of chickens, a large vegetable garden

and an ever-growing list of things I want to make, grow, fix or try.

A Little Plenty grew out of the way I already live. I like growing food and finding useful things to do with it.

I preserve, cook, garden, read an unreasonable number of books, rearrange the house, take on DIY projects, plan seasonal rituals

and occasionally disappear into a bath with a novel for several hours.

This isn’t a site about doing any of those things perfectly.

I’m not interested in turning ordinary life into another performance to keep up with.

It’s about making everyday life feel a little richer: noticing what’s growing, putting something useful in the freezer,

making a room nicer to live in, finding a brilliant book, learning from the things that go wrong and enjoying the things that go right.

Make yourself at home and have a wander.

Whats been happening...
